New Beginnings Day Program
Our adult day program offers social, recreational and therapeutic services for those with seizure disorders and/or head injuries in a group setting. The New Beginnings Day Program not only services these individuals, it doubles as support for family caregivers who provide day-to-day care.
Transportation to and from programs is not currently available and is the responsibility of the individual or their caregivers. Transportation options include: Timmins Transit or Handi Trans at a minimal cost to the client.
Regularly scheduled activities run Monday to Friday and include: computer and technology classes, creative arts program, bowling, walking programs, cooking & nutrition, games, discussion groups, scrapbooking/vision boarding, women's social night, men's social groups, and chair exercises.
Seasonal activities such as gardening and mini putt are also available.
Special events are often added to the monthly calendar such as movie nights, picnics, outings, tours, and guest speakers.
